OUR OBJECTIVES

1. Prevent the exportation of inferior or infested cocoa,coffee,sheanuts and cashewnuts to any destination in the world.

2. Inspect,sample,grade,seal and disinfest cocoa and other produce for Licensed Buying Companies.

3. Ensure that facilities of licensed buying companies conform to laid down regulations in order to maintain quality of produce in their custody.

4. Monitor the operations of Licensed Buying Companies with regard to the safety of produce at all times.

5. Inspect,sample,grade,seal and disinfest cocoa and other produce for Licensed Buying Companies.

6. Undertake commercial disinfestations services.

QCC's Department.


Quality Control Company Limited (QCC) has the following departments and Units:

-Field Operations - Research - Human Resource - Accounts - Audit- -Information Systems-

-Procurement - Legal - Marketing -Training School - Other Units:-Transport, Security,General Services-

Field Operations

The core function of of QCC is to grade and seal produce and disinfestation activivities in the cocoa regions and theses activities are carried out by this department. This department is supervised by the Deputy Managing Director (Operations)

Research

This department offers the necessary scientific supports to the operations of QCC. It is made of Entomology, Microbiology and Nutrition, Biochemistry and Mycology Sections. Its headed by a Senior Research Manager supported by his assistance(Deputy Research Manager and Research Officers)

Human Resource

This department is reponsible for the effective Human Resource Managment and promotion of good industrial relations of QCC. It is headed by a Human Resource Manager and assisted by a Deputy Managers and Officers

Legal Department

The function of the Department is to advise the Company on the legal implications of its operations and proactively ensure that regulatory and contractual breaches are avoided.The Department is headed by a Deputy Director, Legal and assisted by a team of Officers.

Accounts Department.

The Department is responsible for the financial management of QCC and it includes the following sections: Cash Office, General Ledger, Salaries,Stores,Billing,Data Entry and Claims. The department is headed by an Accounts Manager and assisted by a Deputy Accounts Manager.

Training School

This department is purposefully to train the manpower and to organise developmental programmes of QCC. This department is under the charge of a Principal,who is assisted by a Training Officer

Marketing/Public Relations Unit

This department manages the marketing and the public relations activities of QCC and has a Marketing Managers as the head.

Information Systems

This Department is responsible for management of information systems needs of QCC.It's headed by a Deputy Information Systems Manager and his assistant.

Audit Department

It is mandated to carry out audit operations of QCC designed to add value and also to ensure QCC finances are in conformity with approved programmes of COCOBOD.It's headed by an Audit Manager

Procurement

This department is in charge of the procurment activities of QCC, it is headed by a Senior Procurement Manager and assisted by his Officers.

SUPERINTENDENCY


Quality Control Company Ltd (QCC) is a legal entity duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The mission of the company is to facilitate trade of quality Agricultural Produce on both domestic and international markets through the provision of World-class inspection services. As a conformity assessment body, management of QCC recognizes the importance of inspiring the confidence of clients and stakeholders through the implementation of a management system that is based on independence, professional conduct, impartiality, confidentiality, and responsiveness. Consequently these values have been addressed in QCC/MN.02 conditions for the Provision of Inspection Services.


STATEMENT OF IMPARTIALITY.

The Management of QCC recognizes and understands the importance of being impartial, and of being seen to be impartail,in carrying out its inspection activities through:

- Identification of potential conflict of interest,

- Fair and just resolution of conflicts,

- Deployment of competent and objective inspection personnel,

- Engagement of open-minded advisory committee members.
